day 42: another train story

train2

So train stories are always the nicest in China.

I was going from Dunhuang to Lanzhou, both in Gansu province. It was another night train and there was no sleeper left so again I had to sit more than ten hours and try to sleep. When I was waking up from dozing for a while, someone gave me this paper:

“Welcome to China.

Nice to meet you. My name is Lixiao Xuan.

Have a good time. If you need some help, I can help you.”

I was happy, that was so nice. I turned around and there was a family sitting with two teenagers. They were smiling at me. When I said: “Oh hey, great you speak english, right?”, they just kept on smiling. Nobody understood a word. They must have looked up all the words on the internet and wrote it down on the note. How sweet. Happily I went back to doze.

The next time I woke up, they had bought coffee and milk for me and handed me the cup.
